What's included
Charge at home, safely
Charging overnight at home is the easiest and usually the cheapest way to run an electric car. We install wall-mounted EV chargers for homes and workplaces across Auckland.
Before anything goes on the wall, we check your switchboard and supply can handle the extra load. Then we run a dedicated circuit with the right protection, fit an isolating switch beside the charger, and test the whole installation before handover.
If your switchboard is old or full, we can upgrade it at the same time. Garage wall or outside, we'll find the neatest cable route.

Questions
Common questions
How fast does a home charger charge?
Most home wall chargers are 7 kW on a single-phase supply, which adds roughly 40 km of range per hour, depending on the car. That's enough to fill most cars overnight. A standard 3-pin plug charger is much slower.
Do I need 3-phase power?
No. Most homes are single-phase, and 7 kW single-phase chargers suit them well. Faster 22 kW charging needs a 3-phase supply and a car that can use it, and many cars can't take that much on AC anyway.
How much does an install cost?
It depends mainly on the distance from your switchboard to the charger, whether the board has room and capacity, and the charger you choose. Send us photos of your switchboard and the spot you want it, and we'll give you a written quote.
Can I supply my own charger?
Yes. We can install a charger you've already bought, or recommend one that suits your car and your supply.
