What's included
The electrical side of solar, done properly
We install solar PV and battery systems for homes and businesses across Auckland, and handle the electrical side end to end: inverter and battery connection, switchboard upgrades, isolation, labelling and testing.
Exporting power to the grid needs approval from your lines company (Vector across most of Auckland), so that's part of the planning from the start.
Already have solar? We test existing systems, find faults and check the inverter and battery are performing, using a power quality analyser where needed.

Questions
Common questions
Do I need a battery?
Not always. A battery stores daytime solar for the evening, which helps most if you're out during the day. If you're home during the day, you may use most of your solar as it's made. We'll go through your usage before you decide.
Can I add a battery later?
Often, yes, especially with a hybrid inverter. If you think you'll want a battery, tell us at the start so we can pick an inverter and switchboard layout that makes adding one straightforward.
Does solar work in Auckland's weather?
Yes. Panels still produce on cloudy days, just less. Output is highest in summer and lower in winter, which is worth factoring in.
Will solar keep my power on in a power cut?
Not by default. Grid-tied systems shut down during an outage for safety. To keep some circuits running, you need a battery system with backup capability set up for it.
